My Story

Hi there! I'm Keerthana Vegesna, and I'm a senior studying Computer Science at Purdue University.

I'm a Software Engineering Intern at Cummins, Inc working with the Data Acquisition Team. I have been an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for The Data Mine at Purdue. I have also been an Undergraduate Student Researcher for Merck as part of The Data Mine's Corporate Partners Program. I enjoy contributing to the Computer Science communities at Purdue and have been involved with Girls Who Code - Purdue University and the CS Bridge Program as a Teaching Assistant in the past. I have also previously been a part of the TEDxPurdueU Logistics Team and helped organise the 2020 event!

Around the world in 20 years

a.k.a where I've lived throughout my life.

I grew up in a few metropolitan cities in India, most of it being in Bengaluru which is where I consider home. I have also lived in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bloomington, IL as a kid. I currently live in West Lafayette, IN where I attend Purdue University. I picked up different languages from these places and I can speak Hindi, English and Telugu fluently.

I have special memories from all the places I've lived in and I'm excited to see where I'll be in the future!

Music

I spend my free time songwriting, singing or honing my guitar skills. I also upload covers and originals on my youtube channel! I listen to mostly Singer-songwriter, Indie Pop and Rock and Pop music. Here's a playlist of my all time favourites and also one of my originals on my channel. I put a lot of time into writing and recording my music and I enjoy every minute of it :D

Fun fact: My name Keerthana means a devotional song or a hymn! (of Indian origin)
